Parades, Flyovers, Fireworks, Pancakes, and MORE!
4th of July is coming up quick and we are so excited for a fun-filled week! From A (Aptos) to W (Wilder Ranch) there are loads of fun-filled activities for the WHOLE family to enjoy! If you are coming to Santa Cruz County (or thinking about coming) here are some awesome events that you can expect to fill your day:
7am to 10am: Head on down to Burger’s parking lot (7941 Soquel Drive) for a yummy pancake breakfast!
10am: Start your morning with the World’s Shortest Parade in Aptos (literally 2 blocks long). Watch the parade on Soquel Drive between State Park Drive and Trout Gulch Road.
12 noon to 4pm: After the parade, walk down to the Aptos Village Park for a Party in the Park for food, vendors, music, and activities!
Pancake Breakfast: The Boulder Creek Volunteer Fire Department hosts their annual pancake breakfast in the morning before the parade.
10am: Set in Downtown Boulder Creek, check out the annual 4th of July Parade.
12-5pm: Head on over to Junction Park for a fun afternoon of BBQ, music, beer and wine, bounce houses, and gold-mining (for the kiddos).
Roaring Camp (Scotts Valley):
- Head on down to Roaring Camp in Scotts Valley for a 1950s-style Fourth of July with a sock hop, hula-hoop contests, games, music and an all-American barbecue. Click Here for more information.
- Cruise out on the Stagnaros boat or the Chardonnay Charter for some 4th of July fun!
- 8am: Firecracker 10K at Harvey West Park! This course begins at Harvey West Park, up the trail into the majestic hills of Pogonip park and down through Santa Cruz’s upper west side neighborhoods. Each runner receives a free pass to the Pop Warner Pancake Breakfast after an awards ceremony that features medals to the top five in five-year age groups!
3pm: Parade and Flyover on Scotts Valley Drive: Grab a chair and sit on the sidewalk on Scotts Valley Drive for the Parade and Flyover!
4pm: Head on over to Skypark in Scotts Valley to enjoy a full afternoon of yummy food, games, and live music. Don’t forget to stay for the fireworks show at 9pm!
9pm: Fireworks show! Amazing fireworks show that you will NOT want to miss!
1pm – The 2018 Spirit of Watsonville Hometown Parade hits Main Street at 1pm. Check out floats, classic and muscle cars, antique tractors, and equestrians!
Wilder Ranch (Santa Cruz):
11am – 4pm: Wilder Ranch’s Old-Fashioned Independence Day – Travel back in time to the turn of the century with an amazing parade (at 12 noon) followed by games, crafts, live music, historic demonstrations, and a flag raising!
