What most folks don’t know about the Fall and Winter months in Capitola Village is the beautiful Fall weather and local favorite activities. Plan your stay ahead of time with these events and activities:
Monarch Butterflies come back to Natural Bridges State Park. Every year from mid-October through January, the beautiful and large orange butterflies migrate to their natural habitat in Natural Bridges State Park at the end of West Cliff Drive in Santa Cruz. Walk through the gorgeous grove of Eucalyptus Trees and keep the noise level down to watch the magic and wonder of these gorgeous creatures flutter around.
Whale Watching! Although you can spot whales breeching along the coast for most of the year, Fall and Winter are the best times to watch these huge creatures show off in our Monterey Bay. You’re more likely to see blue whales from around April to November and gray whales from December to April. Click here to learn more and book your whale watching tour >>
