The best of Fall: October and November Activities and Events in Santa Cruz County

We love the Summer fun in Capitola Village, but if we’re being honest, the fun just keeps on going all throughout Fall in Capitola Village and Santa Cruz County. If you read our last blog about the 8 Top Activities to do in September in Capitola Village, the activities keep on falling into October and November. Read on to mark your calendars, book a beach house and experience them below:

Check out a pumpkin patch (and dahlias)!

We love pumpkin patches! If you’re looking for a coastal experience, with hundreds of pumpkins lining up a hill overlooking the ocean, with cute picture-taking opportunities, a corn maze, fresh veggies and more, then Rodoni Farms is your go-to! It’s located just off Highway One as you drive up north

outside of Santa Cruz.

If you want to experience a cute hidden gem, check out Post Street Farms near Costco in Santa Cruz.

They have a gorgeous garden of dahlias among the hundreds of pumpkins bordering the property.

Go apple-picking, pie-eating, and have a picnic at Gizdich Ranch!

Get outta town and drive through the orchards in Watsonville for an amazing experience of apple-picking, tasting a delicious pie of your choice, and pack a picnic to enjoy among the orchards at Gizdich Ranch! Sounds pretty tasty to me!

Women on Waves Surf Contest at Capitola Beach on October 9th!

The Monarch Butterflies at Natural Bridges State Park!

It’s that wonderful time of year when butterflies descend upon Santa Cruz! Thousands of fluttering monarch butterflies winter in the eucalyptus trees on the Westside of Santa Cruz at Natural Bridges State Park, California’s only state park butterfly preserve. They typically migrate in mid-October and stay until February. November tends to be the best month to view them. We look forward to this every year!

Enjoy it all from the comfort of your own vacation rental!
